Is Mixue Halal in Malaysia? What the JAKIM Certification Covers

Short answer: Mixue Malaysia has received halal certification from JAKIM for more than 100 of its outlets, but not every outlet is certified yet. So the safest way to be sure is to check the outlet you plan to visit.

What Was Certified?

In December 2025, Free Malaysia Today reported that over 100 Mixue outlets in Malaysia received halal certification from JAKIM, the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia. The certification covers the ingredients used in Mixue products. Bernama added that the company built a Mixue Halal Assurance System that runs from raw material purchasing through to the way each outlet operates.

How Many Outlets Are Certified?

Reports say the certified outlets are spread across several states, including Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. Mixue has more than 700 outlets in Malaysia, so most outlets were not yet on the certified list when the news was published. The company has said it plans to certify more outlets over time, so the number may be higher by the time you read this.

How to Check if Your Mixue Outlet Is Halal

• Look for the JAKIM halal logo or certificate displayed at the counter or entrance of the outlet.
• Ask the staff to show the halal certificate if you cannot see it.
• Check the official JAKIM halal directory to confirm the premises.
• If you order through a delivery app, confirm the outlet’s status first, as the app listing alone does not prove certification.

Does This Cover the Whole Menu?

The reports describe certification of the ingredients and operating procedures at the certified outlets. They do not list individual menu items. If you are unsure about a specific drink, dessert or topping, ask the outlet team before you order.
